EarnersForum 2.0 Launches + Big Contest!
After months of building out the various sections of the site, I am SO THRILLED to say it is finally complete! I have put in a lot of hours dating back to last September when I began putting these ideas to work. I basically kept building on the site until we arrived at what you see today. Earners Forum 2.0 now offers:
Amazing Marketplace System: http://www.earnersforum.com/marketplace/
BackIt System (Similar to Digg with Additional Forum Home Page to show popular threads): http://www.earnersforum.com/kaching/files/kaching_net_auto.exe
And so much more…
Please stop by the newly updated site and let me know what you think!
I have also launched another BIG TIME contest offering up close to $12,000 in prizes including 5 FULL PASSES to Affiliate Summit East (value of $1450) and a gaming system! Check it out and get to work right away as only 5 will win!

sitepoint 2?

Not sure how this looks like SitePoint in terms of design. If you want to say we have some of the same functionality then fine, but in terms of design we have different colors, a different header, different layouts, different tools, we don’t sell books, we don’t have videos (they don’t have audio interviews), we don’t do popups on every page, and we don’t have a bar that pops up at the bottom of the page. SitePoint is a technical community and we are about helping webmasters to make money. Not sure where you see the resemblance.

The only thing that puts me off is having to keep track of all my posts and then have to report them at the end.

Is there not a way to automatically track the number of posts over this period.

I will auto track the number of posts you made only to verify what you tell me after the contest is over. All you have to do is write down your post count as of yesterday and then again when the contest is over.

Lee,

This looks very similar to Sitepoint to me terms of layout. I’m honestly a bit disappointed.

I am also a bit disappointed, it looks exactly like sitepoint (with a different colour, green) and the marketplace is the same, you are doing blogs and articles. I think you have taken a wrong turn with EF

Firstly, whoever coded the frontend needs a slap! I’ve counted around 20 minor bugs from my first glimpse (okay could be my browser). I really love the way the forums presented though, would love to try something like that on my forum. :P

I personally think the design is amazing. It’s much easier to navigate, and there SO much more features compared to before. Good luck with the new contest ;) .

Who is the designer?

I’m looking for someone to do something similar for my musicians forum.

Can you recommend someone?

The designer and coder is a full time employee. I would recommend him, but he is swamped right now. You can shoot me an email about this if you’d like.

Taking a much needed break from the “other” forums. Will have to stated visiting EF when the mini vacation is over…

The new additions put it over the top to give it another try…

Great! Reminds me a lot of sitepoint now. Nice idea, though Im not sure the userbase of earners can support a pay to list site. However, we’ll see.

With a side-by-side comparison it DOES look like Sitepoint, but I happen to like Sitepoint so it doesn’t bother me. The page presents very cleanly and it’s easy to see what’s going on.
