For those that are wondering why the posting has been slow, I left for Alaska with my family this past Tuesday. I will be back in Texas next Wednesday and back to work Thursday, March 1st.
It is beautiful up here and very cold. The high yesterday was around 17 and the low around 0. It is also a bit windy, so with the windchill factor it felt like -10 last night. Oh, there is snow everywhere, certainly NOT like home.
Time to learn skiiing!

It would be neat to see Alaska, but I’d rather go when it’s a little bit warmer…we get enough cold weather here in Canada.
Any snowmobiling in the plans?
Yep, we hit up a river in Willow, AK Saturday morning. The temp was -25 on the river bed and we went about 34 miles roundtrip. It was great fun, but very cold. I had my brother-in-law’s artic gear on and felt pretty warm most of the way.
