Paypal Tweaking Design?

I sent a payment to my coder only 2 hours ago through Paypal and everything looked normal.  I haven’t seen Paypal change much in terms of design and usability in quite some time.  So, I get back to the office after running a quick errand, and realize I need to send a couple of payments to some service providers since it is the first of the month.  I log back in to Paypal, click on “send money’, and see something totally different than the normal screen I have grown accustomed to over the past few years.

Here is what I saw when I logged in to the system to send money at 2:00pm CST:

Paypal

That looks normal, right?

Well, about 2 hours later when I came back to the office, I see something different here:

Paypal 1

And the following screen is displayed when you click continue:

Paypal 2

So, I think this stuff is pretty interesting.  When I saw the change I had a friend of mine log in to his account (the one that provided our first screen shot above) and he saw the same old design.  It appears Paypal is in the process of testing out new design possibilities.  Anyone else seeing this in their Paypal account?

I think it could also be a DNS hack, hacker can create website that will look exactly as PayPal (with exception of the screen above), then hack DNS server of your ISP and route all traffic from your network to the phishing website.

No, this wasn’t a hacker as I actually sent payments to two service providers and made sure security was in order as well.

Apparently PayPal has a development team who work on the website. I know, it does sound weird, but I’m sure it’s true.

Yeah, it seems paypal have been experimenting wiht a lot recently. I use paypal to process my website payments, and the payment screen that the user is confronted with seems to be changing on a weekly basis - they’ve gone through at least 5 different designes for it over the past few months, and they keep switching between them. It’s not just regular paypal users who are being affected, it’s the poor general public as well… And their old design was good enough! The new one seems to be ok-ish tho…

Strange, I’ve been seeing the new “Continue” button and the new design for almost a week and a half now….

Guess they update people differently?

I saw this last week and I actually was hesitant to send money because I thought I may be being scammed. :P

I’ve had this for about 2 weeks now. PayPal is slowing updating all of their users to the new interface.

They started with the more frequent members, and then are moving down the list. I also believe it’s for business/premier members only? Though I could be wrong…

I’ve caught a few button variations over the past couple days myself. Currently, it’s show the old default button set.

Seeing the new send money screen here on both business and personal Paypal accounts. It used to be that you could delete the send_money_rapids cookie and revert to the old style but that doesn’t work anymore for me.

The new design looks good.
