Merger Details Announced

Some of you may have already heard of Admin Fusion, some of you may have not. Either way, Admin Fusion is a community quite similar to Best-Board, one of my communities. They started just a couple weeks after Best-Board’s creation, and have some impressive numbers along with great resources for forum administrators.

As the owner of Best-Board, I decided to approach Ryan, the owner of Admin Fusion, with a proposed merger of our two communities. The idea was simple, rather than competing against each other, we combine our forums and resources in order to have one power house resource for forum admin. Ryan was sold on the idea, and we struck a deal.

The announcement was made yesterday on Admin Fusion, and there has already been many supportive comments made. The possibilities are endless and the future of the community is going to be an exciting one. The actual merge will take some time and effort, but it is apparent that it will be worth it. Come on by Admin Fusion and see what the excitement is all about.

I see this as great move for all of us that were reading and participating on both forums. Much bigger userbase is also one thing that makes me smile. Thumbs up for both owners. You sure know how to make fire in communities :D

I think this is great. Too many people doing the same thing is never good and this will serve both communities well.

Great move Lee and Ryan, I’ll be on your board a lot.

GREAT MOVE!!!

There really isn’t anywhere on the internet that caters only to forum admins, atleast any that are worth mentioning.

Keep up the great work and I will do whatever I can to help out.

You have many people excited right now.

Outstanding. I have been at best-board for a few months now, and had never visited AF until I heard about this merger. Very nice site, and the two together will be great.

Forum Administrators have been needing a solid resource of this nature for a while. Both of these forums bring a lot to the table, and together they will clearly be the top admin forum you can find.

Good job on combining the both forums.

In the long run, it should be great for all forum administrators.

Congrats.

I think it’s a good idea to provide one powerhouse of information source to big forum owners. This way there’s no real drama held, no crutches, and with 2 sites you can really leverage your SEO campaigns. I don’t think any other big boards like yours stand too much of a chance now.

Smooth move, I think this is a great idea. Providing one big resource/forum is a lot better than having two visit two.

Combining Best-Board and AdminFusion will be great, both have a tremendous amount of posts and a good userbase. I look forward to the future of this.

BTW, what name are you going to go with?

That sounds like a great idea! I’ve never visited Admin Fusion, but have been a member of best-board for a while and it’s been really helpful. I’m sure it will only get better with the merger!

I will probably be the first to say, that I don’t like this one bit. Ryan has worked hard on his forum, and Lee you have just bought yours.

I think it is really degrading the quality of AdminFusion, sorry to see this merger happening :(

@Ben degrading?…if I remember correctly ever since this merger start to start we got 3 of the biggest names in fourms(IMO) in the forum over the past week. I cann’t agree with that. I think Lee is awsome and together with Ryan AF will really start to pick up. If you still aren’t convinced look at his other sites.

Ben, yes, I have worked very hard on AF, and I have full confidence in my partnership with Lee. You almost make it sound like it was a one-sided deal, that he just took over AdminFusion. Remember, this was a mutual relationship…we both agreed to the terms, and we both know for certain that it is a good move for both communities. Give it a few weeks or months and see for yourself…There are big things around the corner for AF and it’s only a matter of time before you see them.

Hopefully we still haven’t lost your confidence, as both of us would love to see you stick around.
