YPN Now Offers Direct Deposit

I was thrilled to see that last night’s temporary downtime due to YPN maintenance produced this:

Dear Lee,

We’ve just made receiving your Yahoo! Publisher Network earnings quicker and easier than ever, with the introduction of a Direct Deposit option for all publisher accounts.

As with our pay-by-check option, you’ll still need to accrue at least $100 in earnings before payment is made. However, if you’re signed up for direct deposit, we will credit your bank account on the 26th of each month, rather than by the 10th of the following month, meaning that you’ll receive your earnings approximately 15 days sooner!

To sign up for direct deposit, follow these four simple steps:

~Log in to your publisher account.
~Click on the Account Information tab.
~Click “Payment Options”.
~Select “Direct Deposit” and follow the instructions provided.

Please note that it could take up to ten business days to process your request and begin the direct deposit payments. Even if you immediately sign up for the direct deposit option, April earnings for all publishers will be made by check. If you wish to receive your May earnings via direct deposit, please update your account as soon as possible.

If you have any questions about this feature, you may contact us via the Support Request Form, which is accessed by clicking on the Support Center link at the bottom of most pages inside your account.

Sincerely,

The Yahoo! Publisher Network Team

I had previously been receiving my high $xx,xxx checks through standard mail. This is a change I am VERY pleased with.

Are you kidding me they sent those checks through standard mail :S

I can imagine I wouldn’t be happy if my 80.000 dollars were lost in the mail lol

Feel free to avoid direct deposit and send those checks to my mailing address instead :-p. That’s cool though. Glad to see that YPN is making it easier for publishers to get their earnings

Hope Adsense will do something like that too. Here in Greece I have to wait more than 1 month to get the check(if you calculate that the check is created 1 month after the earnings, the waiting period is 2 months…..)

Very nice, looks like YPN is really competiting with Adsense now.

I hope it comes out of beta soon.

Does anyone know anything about when YPN is coming to Australia? Everyone says it rocks, so why not roll it out? Did anyone see that South Park when Cartman inherits a million dollars and buys an awesome theme park and puts ads on tv telling everyone how sweet it is but no one is allowed in, and so naturally everyone wants to go??? I guess you have to use creative marketing to topple Google.
