Proper Link Color for Adsense / YPN

I have tested this on numerous sites in numerous genres, and I continually see that one link color out performs the rest. I have seen it make an improvement of .1-1% on the CTR scale. Depending on the site this could mean pennies or hundreds a day. The best link color is the standard hyperlink blue that we have been seeing for years. It is engrained into the minds of your viewership that the standard blue is a clickable link. I know the arguement of blending and matching and I am a firm believer in such, except when it somes to the link color. The best color hands down is #0000FF. Try it for yourself and see!

I totally agree with you, people are use to clicking on blue links. Why change it now…

hmmmm, I’m going to have to test that out. I’ve been matching the fonts of my websites.

I do have standard blue in my archive and that has worked very well now that you mention it. :D

Thanks again for a great tip!

Have you experimented with altering the non-ad link colors on your sites?

I recently changed to that color (or one very similar) and noticed an improvement. Actually that color is slightly brighter than the regular link color so it may stand out more.
