New Contextual Ad Program - TopicAds

CafePress has recently unveiled and released their new pseudo-contextual ad program. It isn’t really a contextual advertising program due to the fact that the publisher establishes the keywords TopicAds is to utilize in terms of what the visitors see, but it is another option in this CPC marketplace with a growing number of companies now competing for a publisher’s ad space.

Here is some information from TopicAds.com:

TopicAds are the new way to out-perform static, text-based banner ads. They give you quick control to promote hot topics instantly. No more hours or minutes of lost sales potential. Now you can immediately meet demand for products as soon as a trend sparks, and catch more peak time - that can result in great click-thru rates, more sales and profits for you.

After TopicAds point the way, CafePress delivers the right products. Using TopicAds to drive traffic to CafePress means you are targeting topics from a Marketplace of over 25 million products, with over one million new products added weekly. So rest assured, whatever the topic, we always have the products to meet your demand.

Great for trends, controversial topics, current events so you can catch the action while a topic is hot!

Thanks for the links. I’m looking into it now, and might implement it into my forums. Of course I have to figure out what it is.

Kathy - It’s basically an affiliate program for CafePress. You refer visitors to their site and make 20% of any sales.

Those are ugly ads, I’d never put them on my site.
