YPN Income Drop

On Thursday, February 16th, I saw my YPN income drop by almost 60%. This equates to a great deal of money to the tune of $X,XXX daily that I am loosing. I know many others have contacted me about this and I really feel it will soon be corrected. YPN has ben tweaking the advertiser side of things and this has affected the CPC advertisers are paying, thus affected the publisher’s payout per click. Please read some of YahooSarah’s comments on Digital Point:

We’re going to post alerts directly in our portal from now on so we can notify all of our beta publishers as soon as we detect any system issues that might impact performance. I know this isn’t going to offer much comfort today, but I hope it will make things easier in the future.

Just want to clarify a couple of things here. First and foremost, please know that this is absolutely not a result of a change in payout structure. Advertisers did not pay the same amount as usual per click — the code launch I mentioned earlier today affected advertiser CPCs, so the earnings you’ve seen are based on what advertisers were actually charged by Yahoo!.

Many of you have already seen improvements today, and should continue to see more improvements over the next 1-2 days. We expect the systems to be fully stabilized and upgraded by Wednesday.

Hope this is helpful - thanks again for your patience.

I have noticed a decline in Google Adsense revenue per click as well this week and I don’t like it :(
