Yahoo Getting Creative?

Yahoo is considering launching a new initiative that would try to create a super loyalty to Yahoo and pull in users that will solely use Yahoo as there search engine. I think it is a very smart move to try to at least keep the loyal audience they have and maybe pull in a few stragglers along the way. the fact is that Google provides cleaner and more accurate search results. I feel many aren’t as interested in the best search data, and will be more interested in the “perks” that Yahoo may soon offer. It reminds of iWon.com which I used back in 2000. I was in it for the perks.

Think what you wil, but I see this as an exciting twist in the world of search engines and each of them trying to “one up” he others.

Funny you mentioned IWon. That was a huge hit when it first came out. I know my Mom used it all the time JUST for the benifits. Didn’t really care if it returned good results.
