YPN Ad Targeting

I hesitated for many weeks before playing around with YPN’s ad targeting feature. The reason for hesitation was that I was earning good money as is. I didn’t feel like I needed to tweak it or test, test, test as I always say. So in my being comfortable with the performance of YPN on my sites, I potentially lost thousands of dollars. I urge you to never stop testing until you have exhausted all testing methods and approaches. You never what change (small or big) could have a big impact on your earnings.

In January, I began playing around with different sites and the ad targeting categories. I spent time considering what my audience was for each site and then began testing different categories I thought would be of interest to my users. Don’t get it in your head that the category your site belongs in is the niche of your site. For example, if you have football site, don’t think you are limited to picking YPN’s Sports category. You know that your users are mostly young men between the age of 18 and 35. Think about what young men are interested. Make a list of 5-10 category possibilities and begin testing. I believe you need to allow a minimum of 2 days testing per category and a maximim of 7 days. This my friends, is the tip of the month for those in the YPN beta program. My YPN income will more than double from January to February because of the testing I have done.

Very good suggestion! Is there any tool can auto pickup the category and test for us? :)
