I figured I would go ahead and blog about these two lesser known names in the world of CPC networks. These two companies provide a somewhat unique method of traffic monetization. They take your existing content (textual) and turn certain keywords in to hypertext links which they have advertisers paying for on a PPC basis. You will see the word Sprint below with 2 green underlines. When you mouse over the hypertext link, the yellow ad pops up.

I personally use Vibrant Media’s program which is IntelliTXT. Kontera is another provider in this market. I have been relatively pleased with IntelliTXT, which is heavily customizable. You can enable your forum members to disable the ads (which is a feature I love), you can change the colors as needed, you can control how many links show up per page or paragraph, and so much more.
I have heard stories from publishers using Kontera, but it seems I am hearing more positive feedback from IntelliTXT publishers, especially when it comes to payout. On forums you will see between a .5% and 1% CTR, and with content on a standard site page it can be as high as 1.5%. I have IntelliTXT running on 3 of my forums and it brings in between $3,000 and $5,000 a month in extra income. This is a strong earner that I am happy to have.
If you have interest in IntelliTXT, you can learn more by visiting Vibrant Media’s site. If you desire to sign up for the program, you do so by clicking here.
Lee, Have you tried this type of advertising on Zelda Universe or on a more general chat type of forum? I think I may try it out and see how well it does on mine.
Tell them I sent you!
