Your Username?

I believe that as the forum administrator, you should be the face of your community. It is your board, your vision, your passion, your hard work, and it should be your face. Do not be afraid to show it off. Do not be afraid to use your real name. Communities are about personalities and getting to know one another on a personal level through communication online. Make yourself know and be “out there”. Make yourself available, have a profile picture, place something personal in your signature (a favorite quote or a funny joke), and be someone your members can relate to.

I personally like the look and feel of an admin’s username being their own name. My admin username is Lee on nearly every forum I admin. On forum I frequent, I never use Lee. I want to be a real person to my members.
